This year has already been widely predicted to be the year of mobile, but the shift to a 4G network will have an even greater impact on business. With 4G, companies will be able to operate anywhere, without relying on the confines of a desk and office.
"[4G allows small business owners to] get to take the office experience out of the office. Things that are very common [when] sitting at desk [will] become very common in the mobile environment," Chris DeMaio, director of small business distribution at Verizon Wireless, told the Fox Small Business Center
With a 4G network, small businesses can expect to access higher quality video conferencing and stream data at a faster speed. Mobile applications will be upgraded and enhanced for 4G, which small business owners should take advantage of.
"Developers have really been preparing for our 4G launch and developing apps both for business and consumers," DeMaio added.
A 4G network will give small businesses more flexibility, meaning that owners and employees don't need to rely on a brick-and-mortar office to stay connected or be productive.
