 What is an EIN?

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) also know as a Federal Tax ID Number, is a 9 digit number issued by the IRS to to identify the business for tax purposes. Banks generally will ask you for this information when opening an account for the business or organization.

Example: When Jessica incorporated her business with Vcorp she applied for her Employer Identification Number for tax & payroll purposes.

Vcorp offers this service as a stand-alone service as well as during checkout with any of our LLCs, corporations, non-profits & partnerships.

What is the "IRS From SS-4"?

The form is simply a standard form issued by the government for business owners to fill out when applying for the EIN. However this form can be very confusing therefore we've made it simple to fill out the necessary information in minutes, with our online order form 24/7.

Does my business or organization need one?

Any business selling products or services which are taxed in any way are required to get a federal tax ID number.

Whether operating as a sole proprietor, corporation, non-profit corporation, partnership, LLC, or any other business entity as well as certain individuals, the IRS may ask that you provide a federal tax ID number (EIN) if you collect taxes on sales of products or services for any purpose. We encourage owners even if they do not have employees to get their EIN.
